Bio

This is a biographical website dedicated to communicating information about Jessë Valentine Portz.

Conceived in Alaska, born and raised mostly in Los Angeles California, Jessë Valentine Portz (JVP) was introduced to art and poetry by her parent Wyatt Matthew Portz who is a poet, printer/publisher and artist. JVP was inspired to investigate architecture by her lifelong love of blocks, and her parent Carolyn Portz who studied Architecture and Urban Planning. Since childhood, JVP has been drawing and writing. Trained as an architect and licensed in California and Hawaii, JVP has also spent time as: a bicycle mechanic, fine art painter, philosopher, graphic designer, bassoonist, DJ, landscape architect, vegetarian chef, news editor, network administrator, Macintosh troubleshooter, and researcher to name a few.

JVP lives in Hawaii and paints or writes in between moments of working on quality architecture and cooking fusion cuisine. Photography, sculpture, painting, lobbying the legislature, cycling, are worked on in any other available time.
